Our Mission

Thalia is a local sorority that provides a social and networking space. We seek to eliminate social and financial restrictions usually associated with greek life. Our goal is to empower all of our members in their pursuits of their passions, to create a social, supportive space that is welcoming and safe to all, and to foster an environment that promotes values such as community service, inclusion, scholarship, and professional development. None of this can be accomplished without an honest and transparent recognition that Thalia was built out of an effort to reject the financial and identity based exclusionary structures of Greek Life, and that our organization must consistently seek to recognize issues surrounding racism, homophobia, heteronormativity, gender identity and privilege within the Greek Life system.
