Service in Thalia
Why is Thalia Different?
At Thalia, we are committed to making a meaningful impact in our community through our core values of RISE: Respect, Inclusion, Service, and Equity. Thalia is a local sorority, which means we have more agency over our service and fundraising and where our money goes. We do not have a specific organization as the center of our service. Instead, each semester we choose to support organizations that reflect the needs of our community.
Each year, we proudly participate in the Susan G. Komen 3K Walk for the Cure to fundraise and support breast cancer awareness, and we have supported organizations such as Planned Parenthood and other local nonprofits through events like a bouquet-making sale, Thanksgiving food drive, a benefit concert, & performing in JumboJam. We collaborate with other clubs and Greek life organizations to host events, fostering a stronger sense of community, connection, and collaboration across campus.
Through fundraising, hands-on service, education, and campus involvement, we strive to make a positive difference both within our campus community and beyond.
